An Introduction to Helping Clients with Debt and Money Enquiries

This course is an introduction to supporting clients and beneficiaries with debt and money problems. It aims to provide individuals with the confidence to support their clients and beneficiaries in the following areas:

• Have informed conversations and identify the range of debts a client may have
• Understand why clients may have debts and the benefits of money advice to clients
• Identify the stage a creditor may be at with a client and identify any emergency situations
• Support a client to access local money advice services, clearly identifying emergencies, so the correct priority can be given to the client
• Understand ways to support their clients when they attend an appointment, what information can be useful to bring to the appointment
